Wabbo Ltd bought the assets and intellectual property of Calder Colours (Ashby) Ltd-In Administration in September 2008. We retained all employees and continue to manufacture at our U.K. home in Ashby De La Zouch. 

Calder had two main parts to its education art materials business. Firstly it manufactured the Ocaldo range of products sold through education distributors and catalogues to reach primary schools and playgroups. Secondly Calder manufactured highly specified student and artist grade art materials for a host of private label customers selling through catalogues. 

The Ocaldo range is well known for safety and value. The weight of these products precludes us selling this range economically through our web site and our distributors are better placed to offer the whole range of craft products used by primary schools and playgroups. Please contact us therefore for a list of our distributors. 

Whilst our Ocaldo products are well used in early years teaching we have limited products in our own right in secondary schools and colleges. This is a sector dominated by traditional branded products and we need to develop our own route to schools for our own higher specification art materials. We have therefore utilised our expertise in manufacturing artist and student grade art materials for direct sale through wabbo.co.uk.

Although our main objectives are to reach state and private secondary schools and colleges we hope any teaching organisations that use higher specification art materials will use wabbo.co.uk.
